Four of us had dinner at the San Luis Obispo location. We, and our two dogs, were seated on their beautiful patio. A basket of ciabatta and dish of, probably the best tasting olive oil, I've ever had, was quickly brought to our table. I asked our waitress if she would recommend a vegan entree. She suggested the spaghetti pomodoro, and said she liked it even better with the addition of mushrooms, artichoke and peas. Good call; it was amazing! The restaurant and patio are lovely, the food is delicious and the wait staff was great, making for a truly special dining experience.

Love coming here during Christmas time. It feels so festive and their food and service is always incredible. Favorite app is the lamb lollipops. Always cooked perfectly. Shared the Giuseppe's salad on this night after the lamb then had the Capesante e Gamberi which was so good! Martinis are perfect every time. This time we brought a bottle of wine and then had a cappuccino with amaretto & gelato to finish out the night. Freda is an exceptional server. She knows exactly how we like to dine. Prompt with the drinks and food one we placed an order. Good music too!

Giuseppe's is a great spot for a date night or special occasion! I've been here three times and have enjoyed all the dishes I've tried --the Capesante e Gamberi and Tagliatelle Bolognese were excellent and the Carbonara was decent. The cocktails here are nice too! The ambiance is very cute and highly recommended getting a seat in their back patio if you can. The biggest downside is they don't accept reservations and the wait is usually between 40mins to an hour.

This cozy restaurant has been one of our very favorite establishments to dine out at for a nice dinner in downtown SLO since we went to Cal Poly a decade ago. We love the new space on Monterey Street (and the previous location at Court Street) and the service is always top notch as it's always been! No reservations so show up with time to spare especially on weekends. Highly recommend their Caesar salad, the Bucatini Amatriciana pasta entree, and their iconic Flatliner espresso martini (one of the best I've ever had). Special shout out for their long standing complimentary bread + house olive oil balsamic + parmesan spread. Looking forward to seeing this local staple (and former Cal Poly senior project) thrive for decades to come!

the sit-down restaurant itself is good but the real gem is the to-go area! not only can you get a slice of pizza and dessert quickly, but you can buy pizza dough and raw noodles! i know it's easy to make but i am quite lazy and would rather buy them ready to cook. but the BEST thing you can buy is their dip in a 32 oz container. yes, i know you can also make this quite easily ... but i am lazy and would rather consume it as soon as i buy it. grab a bundle of noodles, some bread, a container of their dip, and some desserts to go. giuseppe's in the comfort of my own home is just PERFECTION.

We were served by Jeff, main, & David,assist, they were great! Personable and attentive! Thanks! We began our journey with two Flatloners, aka espresso martini, and they were winners! Oh, the starter bread was insane! Garlic for all! Great! Our starter was an octopus app. It was so perfect. Crispy exterier, and soft center without being chewy! Wow! Our main course was Italia bolognese. It was wonderful. The noodles were cooked so well with just a snap finish. The sauce was thick and flavorful. Yes and yes! Should we get dessert???? We'll.... yeah! We got....(drum roll)..... vanilla meringue custard cake with a side a pistachio ice cream! Hell yeah! Winning 101! Thank God we have a mile walk back to the hotel... we need it! Great spot! Our was clean with white table cloths and dressed up waiters! Yup. Classy

Came in at 5:30 for dinner and sat out on the beautiful patio. Service was crisp and friendly. We ordered drinks and entrees and everything came out promptly. I had the tortellini Giuseppe, a delicious cheese and spinach filled pasta with a red sauce--so good! My friend had the filet mignonette ravioli special , also with a red sauce--again, delicious! Then we had the pistachio cheesecake and the vanilla something cake which was so light and airy, sweet but not too sweet. Altogether a very enjoyable dinner!

What a wonderful surprise here at Giuseppe's tonight. Dinner with my girlfriend and two of her friends was absolutely perfect. Two of us had chicken fedori w lemon capers. Our awesome waiter Matteo suggested Sea Bass on the special menu. Speaking of "special menu" be sure to inquire about the side menu of seasonal entrees and desserts. Great choice of options that will please all palates. While waiting on dinner to be served each table receives complimentary bread w a garlic, olive oil, Parmesan spread with the house bread. An absolute lovely taste and texture. Dinner arrives promptly and all four plates are a work of Italian art. I initially had my reservations about this dinner because the previous location had issues. The first bite of Fidori Chicken literally melted in my mouth. My girlfriend had eggplant Parmesan from the appetizer menu and she had the biggest smile on her face. She's super pretty and to see that smile truly warmed my mood. We had glasses of wine and the out of this world "Flatliner Martini," with 151 Rum, amaretto, espresso and baileys, the drinks were generous and a nice complement. The final part of the meal was dessert. Tiramisu in a cup of unique transition to end a great dinner. Come to Giuseppe's and enjoy the best food on the central coast cooked by chef Richard. Overall: A+ $$$

From start to finish, this experience at Giuseppe's was exceptional. The restaurant is classy yet casual, with beautiful options for seating. It feels like you have been taken back in time, yet with a modern twist. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. We were headed to a wedding later in the day so we tried to contain ourselves and not over order. Lets just start with the complimentary freshly baked bread, so delicious, served with an olive oil dip. I could have had just that to compliment my chilled Pinot Grigio. I enjoyed a nice antipasto salad and my husband raved over his caprese sandwich. All was delicious, fresh, and served with great care by our waiter. Walking distance from our hotel, but there is street parking available and city lots.
